May 16, 2020-On this weekend in 2008 Hornet softball made their second trip to the NCAA Division II National Championship game in three years and Emporia State has reached back into the archives to find three of those games for replay in 2020.

Audio rebroadcasts of Emporia State's games against Francis Marion and St. Edwards are now available as podcasts on esuhornets.com with KFFX/KVOE Steve Sauder providing the play by play.  On Sunday, May 17 the CBS Sports Network broadcast of the national championship game between Emporia State and Humboldt State will be shown on Emporia State's Facebook page starting at 6:00 p.m.

Emporia State went 48-17 on the year in 2008 and swept through the MIAA and NCAA Central Regional Tournaments to earn the trip to Houston, Texas for the World Series.
