Emporia State Volleyball Receiving Votes in AVCA Preseason Poll

August 17, 2026 - Emporia State volleyball is receiving votes in the AVCA Preseason Poll heading into the 2026 season.

Coming off a 21-7 record in 2025, which marked their first 20-plus win season since 2012, Hornet volleyball enters the 2026 season receiving votes for the first time since 2012.

Emporia State brings six five players that played in 25 or more matches last season, including three who played 101 or all 102 sets for the Hornets.

Senior setter Brailee Bogle played in all 102 sets last season and has played in over 300 sets over her first three seasons with the Hornets. Bogle, along with sophomore Delainee Dexter combined for 1,100 assists in 2025. Dexter also tallied 181 kills on the outside and is joined by 2025 MIAA Freshman of the Year Lavra Krizanic and Emma Klett who has 236 and 175 kills respectively last season.

In the middle, Mia Frisbie and Brooklyn Weaver both tallied over 100 total blocks with 100 or more kills. Frisbie has 140 kills while hitting .378 and had five matches with six or more kills and no attacking errors. 

The Hornets will open the 2026 season in Big Rapids, Mich. at the Ferris State Tournament on Thursday, August 27 at 3:00 p.m. against Minnesota State. Emporia State will also take on Illinois-Springfield, hosts Ferris State and Purdue Northwest on the opening weekend. Emporia State volleyball's home opener will be on Tuesday, September 29 at 6:00 p.m. at White Auditorium.
