Emporia, KS — Hornet Nation, the countdown is on. Emporia State University has officially announced the 2025 Hornet Football schedule, featuring an exciting slate of home and away matchups — and fans don't have to wait until fall to get in on the action.

Season, single-game, and group tickets will available for purchase beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 2 at esuhornets.com. Whether you're cheering from the stands every home game or rallying your crew or employees for one big outing, now's the time to lock in your spot at Welch Stadium.

And the first chance to see the 2025 Hornets in action? It's coming this spring.

Emporia State is proud to announce the return of an annual event with a fresh new name- First Snap: Hornets Spring Football Scrimmage, set for Friday, April 18 at 7:00 PM at Welch Stadium. Admission is free and open to all fans. This high-energy evening under the lights will give the community its first glimpse at the rising talent, new lineups, and on-field chemistry that will define the upcoming season.

"The First Snap Scrimmage is a great opportunity for our fans to get a look at our new players," said Emporia State head coach Garin Higgins. "We have brought in a lot of talented new players to build around our returners and are excited to let our fans have a glimpse of them on April 18."
