November 19, 2025 - Emporia State volleyball had five players earn All-MIAA recognition, with
Nyia Anderson on First Team and
Lavra Krizanic as Freshman of the Year headlining the honors.
Nyia Anderson was named First Team Outside Hitter for the Hornets, as she had 303 kills in the regular season for a career-best average of 3.16 kills per set, the sixth-best mark in the MIAA. Her 303 total kills also rank third. Anderson tallied 11 double-doubles, including five games with 15 or more kills and digs. Her career-high of 22 kills came in a four-set against Northwest Missouri.
Lavra Krizanic was named the MIAA Freshman of the Year and earned Second Team honors at outside hitter. Krizanic had 226 kills and an average of 2.66 kills per set during the regular season. She recorded a career-high 24 kills in a five-set comeback over Pittsburg State, while also recording 23 kills in a four-set win over #3 Nebraska-Kearney, which also included a career-high eight blocks.
Boglarka Rady earned Second Team honors at defensive specialist/libero after her first season at Emporia State. Rady totaled 443 digs with an average of 4.47 per set, with both marks ranking fifth in the MIAA. She tallied 20 or more digs in nine matches, including a career-best 33 in the five-set comeback win over Pittsburg State. Rady also added 112 assists and 21 service aces on the season.
Brailee Bogle was a named Honorable Mention All-MIAA, making it her third All-MIAA honor in three seasons with the Hornets. Bogle tallied 634 assists in the regular season as part of the Hornets 6-2 rotation, and now has nearly 2,600 assists in her career. She had 20 or more assists in 19 matches, including a season-best 49 assists in a four-set win over #3 Nebraska-Kearney.
Mia Frisbie earned Honorable Mention recognition at middle blocker following a sophomore season which saw career-bests in nearly every category. Frisbie had 140 kills on .394 hitting during the regular season, a jump of over 200 points from her freshman campaign. On the defensive side, Frisbie recorded 14 solo blocks and 101 in total, which is the sixth-best mark in the MIAA.
Emporia State volleyball finished the regular season 21-6, with a 12-4 record in the MIAA and will open the MIAA Tournament on Thursday, November 20. Emporia State is the five-seed and will take on fourth-seeded Central Oklahoma at 7:30 p.m. at Civic Arena in St. Joseph, Mo., just seven days after a five-set battle between the Hornets and Bronchos.
