October 2, 2025-The Emporia State Lady Hornet basketball team invites you to White Auditorium for Meet N Greet Open Practice on Saturday, October 4.
White Auditorium will open up at 9:45 a.m. At 10:00 a.m. activities will start with seven Hornet Hive Stations of interactive activities between fans, players and coaches. AT 10:30 the players and coaches will step up to the mic and introduce themselves to everyone in attendance. The open practice will begin at 10:45 a.m. with a scavenger hunt going on around the arena. After practice there will be a Chalk Talk and Q&A with the coaches followed by a "Family Photo" of everyone in attendance. At 11:45 the pizza will arrive and fans will be able to break bread with a Lady Hornet.
The Lady Hornets are in their first year under head coach
MJ Baker. She comes to Emporia State after an eight year run at Eastern Florida State College. She went 183-58 with three conference championships and three trips to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament during her time in Florida.

Gracie Gilpin leads eight returners as the Lady Hornets welcome in seven newcomers.
As part of the Emporia State Year of Celebration, all general admission seating in White Auditorium is free this year. However reserved seating is still available for sale along with passes to the Hornet Halftime Room. Season tickets will ensure a seat at all Emporia State men's and women's regular season basketball games in White Auditorium. New this year is the VIP Experience combo package of a reserved seat and admission to the Hornet Halftime Room. The combo pricing is a ten percent saving compared to purchasing each separately.
