Senior Hadlie Lowe leads a young group of forwards into 2024

2024 ESU SOC Training Camp Preview: Forwards

August 19, 2024 – Emporia State soccer prepares for the 2024 season with a group of seven forwards, with senior Hadlie Lowe leading the way. Karlie Kanaga joins Lowe as the other returner with five newcomers rounding out the group.
 
Hadlie Lowe (Sr./Wichita, KS) is in her second season with the Hornets and made an immediate impact in year one following two successful seasons at Hutch CC. Lowe is the leading returning goal scorer from the 2023 season with six goals and played the third-most outfield minutes of the returners. She scored two game-winners and totaled 36 shots and 18 shots on goal in her junior season.
 
Karlie Kanaga (So./Mulvane, KS) enters year two at Emporia State after playing in 23 of 24 matches and making four starts as a freshman for the Hornets. Kanaga recorded two assists last season and played 580 minutes with a season-high 54 coming against Tampa.
 
Sade Lee (Jr./Oak Ridge, TN) is in her first year with the program after transferring from Pellissippi State. At PSU, Lee scored 11 goals and added four assists in just 15 matches, earning All-Conference First Team honors and Conference Player of the Year. She was also named Honorable Mention All-NJCAA All-American.
 
Lily Simpson (Fr./Lexington, KY) joins the Hornets for her first year following a successful high school career at Lafayette HS. Simpson was named First Team All-City, All-Region and All-State as a senior as she totaled 19 goals and five assists.
 
Megyn Mahloch (Fr./Overland Park, KS) is in her first season with the Hornets after her high school career at Blue Valley HS. Mahloch was Honorable Mention All-State as a senior and earned All-League honors in each of her last two season with the Tigers.
 
Megan Kephart (Fr./Lenexa, KS) is in year one at Emporia State and joins the Hornets from Mill Valley HS. Kephart earned First Team All-State Class 6A as a senior and was a member of the Jaguars' state championship team in her junior season.
 
Avery Zimmerman (Fr./Topeka, KS) joins the Hornets from Topeka HS where she contributed in all four years for the Trojans. Zimmerman earned All-City honors all four years and was named First Team All-Centennial League in each of her last three seasons.
