December 18, 2025 – Emporia State soccer announced the signing of seven members of the 2026 high school recruiting class. The seven signees hail from six different states and will have one join the Hornets during the spring.
Taylor Gray is a midfielder from Wichita, KS and attended Maize High School where she was a member of the 2024 team that finished fourth in KSHSAA Class 6A. Gray also played for FC Wichita in the ECRL while being a US National Futsal member and national champion.

Andrea Guzman is a goalkeeper from Oakland, CA where she attended Saint Joseph Notre Dame. She also played for Lamorinda United in the WPSL where she was part of the Girls Academy Champions Cup in 2025.

Berkleigh Crumley is a defender from Meridian, ID where she attended Mountain View HS and was a four-year starter for the Mavericks. She also played club soccer for the Boise Thorns in the ECNL.

Lola Anzaldo is a forward from Westside HS in Omaha, NE who also played club soccer for Kansas Rush. Anzaldo was named the Taylor Made High Performance Soccer Player of the Year for 2025/26.

Breanna Caul is a forward from Spokane, WA where she was a First Team All-Conference member for Mount Spokane HS. She was also part of a Wildcat team that made the state final four. Caul also played club soccer for the Washington Surf and was fifth in the league in goal contributions.

Yadhira Castilo is a midfielder from San Antonio, TX and attended Warren HS where she played varsity all four seasons and was a First Team All-District performer. She also played for San Antonio City while also playing for the Mexico WNT U15 team in 2021.

Gianna Volpe is a defender from San Antonio, TX and attended William J. Brennan High School where she was a four-year starter for the Bears and earned First Team All-District recognition. Volpe also played club soccer for San Antonio City where she was teammates with fellow Hornet commit Yadhira Castilo.
Emporia State went 9-6-5 in the 2025 season, a three-win improvement from the first year under head coach
Jane Grimley-Gunn, and advanced to the semifinals of the MIAA Tournament after a quarterfinal comeback win over #16 Washburn on the road.
