ABOUT THE HORNETS
Emporia State is in their first season under head coach Brad Hill and the Hornets are 7-5 through the first twelve games. On the mound, nine pitchers have made multiple appearances with Cade Barton and Ian Lanik each having three starts and a 1-1 record. Barton has a 2.50 ERA across 18.0 innings with 14 hits allowed while Lanik has a 3.86 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 16.1 innings. At the plate, six different Hornets have recorded five or more RBI with Patryk Hernandez, TJ Racherbaumer and Logan Myers all leading the way with nine of their own.
