September 1, 2023-With the high temperature projected to be near 100 degrees on Sunday in Kansas City, the kickoff for the #16 Emporia State soccer match against #21 Minnesota State will now take place at 11:00 a.m. at Bourke Field on the campus of Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo.
 
The Hornets are 0-0-1 after drawing Southwestern Oklahoma 1-1 on Thursday in Weatherford, Okla.  The Mavericks are 1-0-0 after posting a 7-0 win over Oklahoma Baptist in Mankato.
 
This will be a rematch of the 2018 NCAA Central Regional First Round contest between the two schools.
