SEMIFINALS AT STRYKER
Emporia State is set to take on top-seeded Washburn in the MIAA Semifinals from Stryker Soccer Complex in Wichita, Kan.

LAST TIME OUT
Emporia State took down Northwest Missouri 3-0 in the opening round.

THE COACHES
Bryan Sailer is 117-87-34 in his 12th season at Emporia State and is the winningest coach in program history and fifth winningest coach in MIAA history. He has a career record of 175-110-36 that includes coaching four years at the community college level. He has led the Hornets to nine straight .500 or better regular seasons, six straight MIAA Tournaments and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. 
Davy Phillips is 60-44-9 in his sixth season at WU. He is 4-8 against ESU.

SCOUTING THE HORNETS
Emporia State is 10-5-4 on the season and finished 8-2-1 in the MIAA. Emporia State ranks top five in the MIAA in points, goals and assists this season. Mackenzie Dimarco is leading the MIAA with 17 goals on the season as she was unanimously named MIAA Offensive Player of the Year. Hadlie Lowe and Anna Burnett have scored four goals while Hannah Woolery has three of her own. The Hornet defense is anchored by Joanie Westcoat, Abby Bachman and Aubree Blackman. Westcoat has played all 1620 minutes so far this season. In midfield along with Woolery, Angela Palmer has started all 18 matches and is fourth on the Hornets with 16 shots. Alexis Cole and Haley Sparks have both scored multiple goals on the season for Emporia State.

ABOUT WASHBURN
The Ichabods are 16-2-1 on the season and finished 9-1-1 in the MIAA as they earned the top seed in the MIAA Tournament. Washburn is currently ranked seventh in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll. The Ichabods are second in the MIAA in goals scored, scoring margin, and goals allowed. The attack for Washburn is led by Ana Muruzabal and Khloe Schuckman as they have seven and six goals respectively which are both top ten in the MIAA. In addition to Muruzabal and Schuckman, seven mroe Ichabods have scored multiple goals this season leading the way for Washburn's balanced attack. In defense, Jordan Tenpas was named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Year while playing in front of Reagan Wells, who was named the Goalkeeper of the Year in the MIAA this season.

SERIES HISTORY
Washburn leads the all-time series 18-17-4 over Emporia State and the Hornets have split the two matchups this season, with both teams recording a 1-0 win.

LAST TIME VS. THE ICHABODS
In the final match of the regular season, Emporia State traveled to Topeka for the Turnpike Tussle. The Hornets took down the Ichabods 1-0 behind a 17th minute goal by Alexis Cole
