Her first two throws of the finals went 42.43m (139-2) and 41.89m (137-5) before unleashing a personal best of 45.75m (150-1) and becoming just the second Hornet to go over 150 feet in the women's javelin.

She scored three points for the Emporia State women, who scored at the national meet for the second straight year and the 21st time since joining the NCAA in 1992.  Emporia State has had either the men or women score in every NCAA Outdoor Championship meet since 1994, a span of 27 straight meets.
