Karly Johnson gave the Hornets a walk off win in the opener when McKensy Glass scored on a fielder's choice.
Emporia State took a 6-2 lead thanks to a five run fourth inning only to see Quincy come back with four in the top of the fifth to tie the game at 6-6.  The Hawks had the bases loaded with nobody out in the top of the seventh when Haley Sturm came on in relief.  She got a short fly ball and two strikeouts to end the threat.  With one out in the bottom of the seventh Glass doubles and went to third a single by Josie Harrison.  Karley Johnson hit a ground ball and Glass was able to beat the throw home for the walk off win.
