FINAL HOMESTAND
Emporia State will play their final two home matches of the season as they take on Missouri Southern and Pittsburg State. Saturday afternoon's match will be the final action in White Auditorium for seniors

LAST ROTATION
Emporia State was swept by Central Oklahoma 25-12, 25-20, 25-18 last Saturday night in White Auditorium.
Emporia State scored the first two points but Central Oklahoma used a 5-0 run to take a 7-3 lead and never trailed in set one.
The second set was much tighter with ten ties and six lead changes. The Hornets got within a point at 21-20 before UCO closed the set by scoring four straight points to take a 25-20 win and 2-0 lead in the match.
The Bronchos jumped out to a 6-1 lead to open set three but the Hornets responded with an 8-3 run of their own to tie the score at 9-9. With the score knotted at 11, UCO went on a 9-1 run to take control. Emporia State was able to fight off one match point before falling 25-18.
All 13 Hornets that suited up played with
Yuchen Du recording a team high eight kills.Â
Riley Bernskoetter and
Emma Dixon combined for 29 assists while
Rylie Fornelli had 13 digs to lead Emporia State.
THE COACHES
Bing Xu is in his 15th year as head coach for Emporia State. He holds a record of 287-187 and has led the Hornets to five NCAA Tournament appearances. He is 19-11 against Pitt State and 20-3 against Southern.
Kallie Mader is 16-38 in her second year at Mo. Southern. She is 1-1 against Emporia State.
Jen Gomez is 44-74 in her fourth year at Pittsburg State and 245-209 in her 14th season as a head coach. She is 3-4 against Emporia State.
SCOUTING THE HORNETS
Emporia State is 6-18, 2-14 in the MIAA. A total of 11 of the 19 different schools the Hornets have played have been ranked or received votes in the AVCA National Poll.
Emma Dixon is seventh in assists in the MIAA this season and ranks fifth all-time at Emporia State.
Aliyah Bernard is sixth in the MIAA in hitting percentage,
Rylie Fornelli is seventh in digs and
Yuchen Du is eighth in kills.

The Lions are 13-13, 6-10 in the MIAA. They are second in the MIAA in blocks. Alicia Pickett leads the MIAA with 1.05 blocks per set.

The Gorillas are 12-13, 7-9 in the MIAA. They are fifth in the league in assists. Morgan Henning is hitting .346 to rank second in the MIAA.

Emporia State went to a fifth set for the fifth time this year in a 17-25, 25-18, 20-25, 25-18, 15-11 loss at Pittsburg State.
Yuchen Du led Emporia State with 13 kills on .394 hitting with five digs. She was joined in double figure kills by
Jessica Hayes with 12 and
Shelby Ebert with 11 kills.
