Biography
OVERVIEW: This will be Aliyah’s final year on the Hornets Volleyball Team. The team is looking forward to her making an impact on the court as a middle blocker. Aliyah has the quickness and vertical jump that is needed to be a great middle. Her athleticism makes her a force at the net.
AWARDS/HONORS:
JUNIOR YEAR: Aliyah played in 20 matches (52 sets), started in 10 of them. She had 89 kills, hitting a.215 hitting percentage and 39 blocks on the season. She averaged 1.71 kills for set and .75 blocks per set. Aliyah’s season high was against Central Missouri, where she had 18 kills, hitting a .519 hitting percentage and 4 blocks.
SOPHOMORE YEAR: As a sophomore at Butler Community College, Aliyah played in 36 matches (112 sets). She had a total of 296 kills, averaging 2.64 kills per sets, and hitting a .385 hitting percentage on the season. Aliyah also had a total of 89 blocks and averaged 0.79 blocks per set. She had a season high 17 kills, hitting a .429 hitting percentage against Pratt Community College.
FRESHMEN YEAR: Aliyah played in 14 matches (26 sets). She had 20 total kills and 15 blocks on the season. Aliyah had a season high 4 kills and 3 blocks against Seminole State College.
HIGH SCHOOL/BEFORE HONORS: 1st Team All-Conference as a sophomore at Butler. In high school, Aliyah was three sport athlete, playing volleyball, basketball, and track. As a senior, she received 1st team All-City (Wichita) for volleyball.
