October 4, 2019-Emporia State was held to a negative hitting percentage in a 3-0 loss at Central Oklahoma on Friday evening. The Hornets fell 25-22, 25-18, 25-15 at Hamilton Fieldhouse in Edmond, Okla.

As a team Emporia State had 28 kills and 30 errors in 127 swings for a -.016 hitting percentage.
Yuchen Du led the Hornets with eight kills and added nine assists.
Rylie Fornelli had a team high 14 digs for Emporia State while
Riley Bernskoetter had 11 of Emporia State's 27 assists on the night.

Emporia State will stay on the road to take on Newman on Saturday afternoon in Wichita, Kan. First serve in Fugate Gymnasium is set for 2:00 p.m.
