Box Score March 11, 2017 - The #13 Hornets got in the first five innings of game two against Missouri Southern before a snowy mixture delayed the game.
Missouri Southern scored the first run of the game in the top of the first off off two singles and an error, giving them a 1-0 lead. The Hornets quickly struck back in the bottom of the first with an infield single by Kaden Shaffer, plating Mack Gowing. Both teams were scoreless through the second and third inning.
In the top of the fourth the Lions added two runs on four singles to give them the lead 3-1 before the game was delayed.
The game will resume at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday in the top of the sixth inning. Game three will follow at the completion of game two. Both games will be played on Glennen Field at Trusler Sports Complex.
