March 7, 2013-Due to the forecast of rain over the weekend, the start of Emporia State baseball series with Ft. Hays State has been pushed up one day and will begin on Friday, March 8 at the Trusler Sports Complex.
The Hornets and Tigers will now play a double header on Friday night beginning at 5 p.m. and are scheduled to complete the series on Saturday with a single game set for 12 noon. If Saturday's game is washed out, the teams will wrap up the series on Sunday. MIAA policy states that teams have three consecutive days to play their three game and will not allow the series to be extended to Monday.
