	HORNETS TO PLAY LAST HOME MATCH OF 2013
	Emporia State will play host to Missouri Southern in the final home match of the season at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 27 at the Emporia HS Pitch.  Unless the Hornets host a post season match it will be the final time that seniors Tommi Bouknight, Hannah Carlson, Ashley Leihsing, Melanie Nuessen, and Kayla Wegman will play in front of  a home-town crowd.
	LAST TIME OUT
	The Hornets competed a sweep of the 2013 Turnpike Tussle with a 1-0 non-MIAA match against Washburn on October 23.  Jordan Foutch scored her second goal of the season in the 83rd minute to give the Hornets the 1-0 victory. Freshman goal keeper Yadira Rivera stopped four shots on goal for her seventh shutout of the season.
	THE COACHES
	Bryan Sailer is 14-27-9 in his third season at Emporia State and ranks No. 2 on the Hornets all time win list for Women's Soccer coaches. Prior to coming to ESU he led Barton County Community College to a 59-23-2 overall record in four seasons. He led them to the KJCAA Championships during the 2008 season and was named Jayhawk Conference Coach of the Year after guiding Barton to an 18-4 record. He is 0-1-1 against Missouri Southern.
	Alese Woolard  is in her fourth  season as head coach at Missouri Southern. She currently has a coaching record of 22-33-13 with the Lions. She is 2-0-2 against Emporia State.
	SCOUTING THE HORNETS
	The Hornets are 7-6-2 overall and 3-3-2 in the MIAA. The Hornets are 1-0-1 against nationally ranked teams this season. Emporia State upset #19 Regis 2-1 in double overtime earlier in the season. The Hornets then played #5 ranked Central Missouri to a 0-0 tie in double overtime. The win over Regis was the first victory over a nationally ranked team in the history of the program. Emporia State has shutout opponents eight times  in 2013 which sets a program record for shutouts in a season. McKenzie Koch and Tommi Bouknight lead the team with three goals scored.  Yadira Rivera and Melanie Nuessen have combined for a 0.83 goals against average.
	KNOW THE FOE
	Missouri Southern is 3-5-4 overall and 2-2-3 in the MIAA.  Dana Wilheim and Katleyn Roberson each have scored three goals on the season. Beth Hammons is expected to get the nod in goal for the Lions. She has a goals against average of 1.17 and a 2-1-3 record on the season.
	LAST TIME VS. MISSOURI SOUTHERN
	The Hornets and Lions played to a 2-2 double overtime tie in Joplin. Mo. on  October 21, 2012. Tommi Bouknight and Emily Burris scored goals for Emporia State. Melanie Nuessen had seven saves in goal in the 2012 match-up.
	UP NEXT
	The Hornets will finish the regular season with a weekend trip to the Sooner State. Emporia State will play Northeastern State in Tahlequah, Okla. on November 1, and then face Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Okla. on November 3.
