October 27, 2011 -- The Emporia State soccer team allowed ten shots on goal, but only one tally in a 1-0 loss on the road at Truman. ESU got one shot on goal which came during the first period.
Kelsey Twellman scored in the 17th minute to put the Bulldogs ahead for good. Natalie Hoernig had a season high nine saves against Truman.
The Hornets will face Missouri Western on Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. from St. Joseph, Mo. With a win the Hornets would secure a bid in the MIAA Playoffs.
