Eric Wellman

Eric Wellman is in his sixth season at ESU as the cross country coach and assistant track coach in charge of distance runners.

 

Wellman has spent the last two years as an assistant with the cross country program and overseen the distance runners for ESU.  He has coached four All-MIAA performers in cross country as well as seven MIAA champions and 17 all-conference performers in track and field.

 

He attended ESU from 2003-2008, competing for the Hornet cross country and track & field teams. He was the men’s high point scorer at the 2006 MIAA Indoor Championships, as he won the mile, 3000m and anchored the conference record setting distance medley relay. During his career, Wellman won five MIAA championships and was a three-time national qualifier. He holds the fourth best time in ESU history with a 4:08.85 in the mile run.

 

Wellman graduated from ESU in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in education and obtained his master's degree from ESU in 2011.
