Biography

Boyd transferred to Emporia State from Southwest Baptist where he appeared in nine games as a freshman. He recorded 37 tackles, three pass breakups and two interceptions a 45 yard pick six. He was selected as the Class 4 Defensive Player of the Year as a senior at St. Mary’s HS in St Louis. As a senior he recorded 101 tackles and ten interceptions while leading the Dragons to back to back state championships.
