August 11, 2025-All three of Emporia State's starting defensive linemen earned All-MIAA honors last season. C.J. Adams is the lone All-MIAA returner among five returning Hornets that recorded at least one tackle for loss as a defensive lineman last year.
 
Adams is in his fifth year at Emporia State.  He was 25^th in the MIAA in tackles for loss last year as he was named honorable mention All-MIAA.  He has 9.5 tackles for loss and three sacks in 31 career games for the Hornets.
 
Kaden Fields is in his third season and has played in 18 games for the Hornets. He had 5.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks last season for Emporia State. He was a First-Team Sport in Kansas selection on offense and earned First-Team All-Tri-County on defense line for Osawatomie HS. 
 
Dakote Doyle-Robinson is in his second year at Emporia State. He had two tackles for loss in nine games last season. He recorded five sacks and 12 TFL as a redshirt freshman at Garden City CC after redshirting at Baylor as a true freshman.
 
Wesley Young is in his third year at Emporia State and has seen action in four games.  He was named First Team All-League on Defense at West Elk HS. He received Honorable Mention All-State recognition by the Wichita Eagle and Sports in Kansas.
 
Elon McKenzie is in his second season with the Hornets after transferring from Austin Peay. He had a sack and 3.5 tackles for loss last season at Emporia State. He played in five career games at Austin Peay, recording two tackles against Lindenwood as a sophomore.
 
DEFENSIVE LINE NOTES:
There are two seniors, four juniors, two sophomores, five redshirt freshmen and four true freshman listed among the 17 receivers.
14 of the 17 receivers came to Emporia State as freshmen.
Five of the defensive linemen are from Kansas, three are from Oklahoma, three are from Texas, three are from Missouri and one each is from Alabama and Oregon.
