May 9, 2025-At Friday night's Concordia Twilight Qualifier Emporia State got three provisional qualifiers one of which moved into second on the Hornets all-time performance list.

For his third straight race
Emmanuel Dukpe lowered his time in the men's 400m. He ran 46.56 to finish behind 2023 MIAA 400m Indoor Champion Corey Lyons as they both broke the Bulldog Stadium record in the 400m. He is ranked 15
th in the nation as of Friday night.

Abigael Reid ran a provisional qualifier of 1:00.08 to win the 400m hurdles.

Kingsley Bennett,
Ty Anderson,
Isaac Tarango and
Alden Mollerus won the 4x100m relay in a time of 40.52 for their second straight provisional qualifying performance.

Mia Manley cleared 3.68m (12-00.75) to place second in the women's pole vault while
Trenden Collins got over 1.98m (6-06.00) to place third in the men's high jump.

Emporia State got a trio of fifth place finishes at the Ward Hylatt Invite in Manhattan, Kan. on Friday.

Madison Vermetten was fifth in both the women's hammer and discus. She went 49.93m (163-9) in the hammer and threw 42.43m (139-2) in the discus.

Mitch Budke had the other fifth place finish at Kansas State, throwing 55.13m (180-10) in the men's javelin.

The group that was in Seward for the Concordia Twilight will stay in Nebraska on Saturday for one last chance at improving their qualifying spots at the Loper Twilight. Action is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. at Kearney HS.
