Israel Domeh provided the highlight for Emporia State on a weather hampered final day of the KU Relays at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kan.

Domeh finished second with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 21.16 in the men's 200m finals.
Â
Emmanuel Dukpe ran 48.06 to place fourth in the men's 400m while the quartet of
Kingsley Bennett,
Alden Mollerus,
Isaac Tarango, andÂ
Ty Anderson placed fifth with a time of 41.15 in the men's 4x100m relay.
Asher Moen had the other top eight finish for the Hornet men, finishing seventh with a time of 9:48.54 in the 3000m steeplechase.

Emma Bartholome had the top finish for the Emporia State women. She ran 12:19.02 to finish fifth in the 3000m steeplechase. Â
The 4x100m relay team of
Josie Orear,
Jayda Harris,
Hailey Anderson, and
Barbara Bentum ran 50.24 to finish seventh for the other top eight finish for the Emporia State women.

The Hornets will be back in Lawrence next weekend for the Rock Chalk Classic while a select number of athletes will head to Des Moines, Iowa for the Drake Relays.

NOTES:
Due to the cooler temperatures and rain in the area, several athletes that qualified for Saturday's finals chose not to compete.
