March 8, 2025 – Emporia State baseball scored eight runs in the first four innings and got a strong start from Seth Stover to pick up the 8-2 win over Hillsdale on Saturday afternoon.

Emporia State fell behind Hillsdale in the opening frame, as the Chargers used a leadoff double to take an early 1-0 advantage over the Hornets. In the bottom of the first, responded with two runs without tallying a hit as three walks and a pair of hit batters gave Emporia State the 2-1 lead heading to the second.

Following a scoreless second frame from Stover, the Hornets would double their total as Emporia State got RBI from Logan Myers and Noah Steele to make the score 4-1. The Chargers were retired in order in the third and RBI from Andy Pacheco and Brady Unrein bolstered the lead to 6-1.
