Brian Ostermann has announced the signing of Vanessa Coleman to attend Emporia State and play basketball for the Lady Hornets starting in 2025-26.
Coleman is a 5-10 forward from Tulsa, Okla. She has led Tulsa Union HS to the Oklahoma Class 6A State Tournament where the Redhawks will take on Norman HS at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11 in Oklahoma City. She was rated as the 13th best small forward in the state of Oklahoma by Girls Prep Report
"We are excited that Vanessa will be a Lady Hornet," said Coach Ostermann. "She is a wing shooter and someone that is a proven three point shooter with extended range. She fits right into our philosophy of shooting from distance. She is leading her Union High team to the Oklahoma State tournament."
Coleman joins Elysa Martinez and Jada Smith in the Lady Hornet recruiting class for 2025-26.
