February 8, 2025 – Emporia State women's tennis hosted Ottawa on Saturday at the Kossover Family Tennis Complex as the Hornets defeated the Braves 4-0 on the day.
In doubles,
Paige Stranghoner and
Lilie Bizouerne won the #1 spot with a 6-2 match while
Sheriden Wichman and
Anastasia Pesic swept #2 doubles with a 6-0 win, securing the doubles point for Emporia State.
The Hornet women controlled the singles matches, headlined by
Giovanna Ferreira winning #1 6-4, 6-2.
Yuliya Klimova and
Lilie Bizouerne each allowed just two winning games for their opponents, winning at #2 and #3 singles 6-2, 6-0.
Emporia State will be back in action at the Kossover Family Tennis Complex on Tuesday, February 11 as they host McPherson College. First serve is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
