Kaitlyn Sanders is the  leading scorer for the Lady Hornets at 17.9 points per game while
Gracie Gilpin is averaging 11.4 points per game. Â
Macey Gandee is averaging 14.3 points and 7.0 rebounds over the last five games. Â
ABOUT THE BLUE TIGERS
Lincoln is 4-5 overall and 2-2 in the GLVC. They are 4-3 over their last seven games. Laini Joseph is averaging a team best 17.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
ABOUT THE COACHES
MJ Baker is 5-3 in her first season with the Lady Hornets and is 56-49 in her fourth year as a head coach at a four year institution. She has won 336 games as a collegiate coach and comes to Emporia State after an eight year run at Eastern Florida State College. Â She went 183-58 with three conference championships and three trips to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament during her time. Â This is her first meeting with Lincoln.
Addae Houston is 6-29 in his second season at Lincoln. He is 0-1 against Emporia State.

The Lady Hornets lead the all-time series 35-4 and have won three straight after losing two games in the 2022-23 season.Â
LAST TIME AGAINST LINCOLN
The Lady Hornets jumped out to a 9-0 lead and never trailed in a 73-62 win at Lincoln in their last action before the break. The Blue Tigers would go the first 6:19 of the game without a free throw as the Lady Hornets led 13-2 before Ayreona Carter scored their first field goal.
Makenzie McDaniel led Emporia State with a career high 22 points to go with 11 rebounds for her third double-double of the season. She was joined in double figures by
Katie Horyna with 15 points, five rebounds and four assists.
LAST TIME OUT
A strong second quarter helped propel the Lady Hornets to a 69-59 win on Saturday afternoon over Missouri Western in their MIAA home opener. Missouri Western built a 12-4 advantage with just over four minutes remaining in the first frame. Over the final four minutes, the Lady Hornets closed on 13-4 scoring run to take a 17-16 lead into the second quarter. Emporia State out-scored the Griffons 21-4 to start the second before a three in the final seconds cut the Lady Hornet lead to 38-23 entering the break. Â The teams played to a 15-15 tie in the third quarter and Missouri Western used a 13-4 run over the first six minutes of the fourth to get within 57-51 with 4:02 remaining. Gracie Gilpin put the Lady Hornets ahead by nine. The Lady Hornets would make five of their final six free throw attempts to ice the 69-59 win for Emporia State.
Macey Gandee led all scorers with 20 points while
Kaitlyn Sanders and
Katiya Casey had 12 and 11 points each.
Kaylin Noonan had a career high ten rebounds for the Lady Hornets.

The Lady Hornets are back in action on Wednesday, December 17 for their final home game of the first semester. Tip-off against Bellevue is set for 5:30 p.m. in White Auditorium as game one of a split doubleheader with the ESU men.
