November 12, 2025-The 2025-26 basketball season has not started yet, but Emporia State men's coach Tom Billeter already has his first recruits for the 2026-27 season signed.  Ayden Jenson and Luke Weemer will be attending Emporia State next year and playing basketball for the Hornets.

"Coaches (Casey) Schlatter and (Devon) Whitelow worked extremely hard on this class and deserve all the credit," said Billeter. "These two young men will be a solid nucleus for the upcoming future of Hornet basketball."

Ayden Jensen | 6-8 | Forward | Downs, Ill. | Tri-Valley HS
Jensen averaged 16.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game as a junior for Tri-Valley HS.
Billeter on Jensen: Ayden is an athletic, long forward  who runs very well and has a high IQ.  He is a versatile player who will work hard.  Ayden has been well coached and will be a great fit for our team.

"Luke and Ayden together give us two players who will be able to both continue to develop yet contribute at the same time," said Billeter.
