Emporia State Men's Tennis Picks Up 6-1 Win at William Jewell

Box Score March 8, 2024-Emporia State will go into their Spring Break trip to Florida with a win as they defeated William Jewell 6-1 on Friday in Liberty, Mo.
The Hornets got wins from Anton Sarunic and Mostafa Elbasnaly at #1 doubles and Diego Calvo and Lleyton Fosha at #3 to secure the first point.
In singles play the Hornets got straight set wins from Diego Calvo 6-3, 6-1 at #3, Harrison Brown 6-1, 6-0 at #4 and Hachem Fahem 6-1, 6-4 at #5 while #58 Anton Sarunic won 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-8) at #1 and Lleyton Fosha came from behind for a 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-7) win at #6 singles.
The Hornets travel to Florida for three matches in the Orlando area over Spring Break starting with a match against West Chester (PA) on Monday in Kissimmee.
