He was named Team MVP, All-District linebacker, and District 3A-3 Defensive MVP. His senior year he rushed for 1,324 yards averaging 9.7 yards per carry, with 17 rushing touchdowns. Defensively he recorded 85 Tackles and 18TFLs, a Sack and an Interception. He helped lead the Bulldogs to a 14-0 record and an Oklahoma Class 3A State Championship. He was named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association All State Football Team. Heis also a member of Lincoln Christian's Track & Field team.

He is also a member of the wrestling team.

He set the Ada school record for longest touchdown reception with an 87 yarder. Defensively he recorded 64 total tackles including nine sacks and 17 Tackles for Loss. He is a member of Ada's Wrestling and Track & Field team and is currently ranked #2 in the state of Oklahoma Class 4A at 220 pounds.

Cooksey was the full time starter at right tackle for Allen HS that finished 9-5 in one of the most competitive high school leagues in the country. He helped lead the Eagles to a quarterfinal appearance in the Texas Class 6A-I playoffs.

He had at least 100 rushing yards every game and finished the season with 1,800 rushign yards, over 2,000 all-purpose yards and 33 total touchdowns. He is also a member of Guthrie's Basketball team

He had five interceptions and scored 17 touchdowns his senior year. He was named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association All State Football Team. He is also a member of Heritage Hall's track team.

He helped lead his team to regional and sectional champions. He will be playing in the Kansas Shrine Bowl at Welch Stadium this summer. He is also a member of Blue Valley West's Baseball team.

High School: He was a First-Team All Region Defensive Linemen his Senior year leading Central HS in tackles for loss. As a Sophomore he helped lead the Red Devils to an Alabama Class 7A State Championship.
