Emporia State men's tennis has three advance to championship matches at SBU Invite

September 24, 2023-The Emporia State men combined to go 10-6 in singles play to highlight their stay at the SBU Fall Invitational. The Hornets advanced to play in the B Draw main and consolation championships.
 
Gwendal Mazuay and Sergio Vera Martin were undefeated in three matches in singles play in Bolivar.  They were declared co-champions of the B Draw rather than play each other in the championship match.
 
Harrison Brown fell in the first round but came back to win three straight matches to win the consolation championship in the B Draw.
 
Anton Sarunic played in the A Draw and won a match before falling in the quarterfinals.
 
Harrison Brown and Dominik Simunovic advanced to the consolation bracket finals in the A doubles draw.
 
The Hornet men are scheduled to wrap up the fall individual season October 21-22 at the Washburn Invitational.
