April 14, 2022 – Emporia State took an early lead before falling to Washburn 15-4 in eight innings on Thursday night from Glennen Field.

Jarrett Seaton would strand the runner and bring the Hornets to the plate.
Emporia State would record four runs in the bottom of the first inning. With one out,
Blake Carroll grounded to the shortstop which resulted in an error and the Hornets first baserunner of the game.

Washburn rallied back with four runs of their own in the second inning to tie the game. The Ichabod offense would continue throughout the game as they added a run in every inning except the seventh as they recorded 15 for the game.
