Toby Wynn has announced that transfer Faith Paramore will be attending Emporia State next year and playing for the Lady Hornets. She joins early signees Stevie Stinchcomb and Audrey Beaty in the Lady Hornets recruiting class for next season.
Â
Paramore is a 6-0 wing player from Haven, Kan. and will be transferring to Emporia State from Oral Roberts. She played in 27 games with four starts as a COVID freshman this season for the Eagles. She had 13 points in just 21 minutes against Central Christian and had ten points and six rebounds in 20 minutes against Arkansas State. She averaged 6.7 points in 15 games as a true freshman in 2020-21 with a career high 17 points at North Dakota State. She scored 14 points with seven rebounds in her collegiate debut at Arkansas.
Â
She was a Second-Team All-Kansas selection by the Topeka Capital Journal as a senior at Haven HS in 2019-20 after earning unanimous First-Team All Central Kansas League honors. She was just the second 1,000 point scorer in Haven HS history. She was also a Kansas Class 3A state champion in the 800m as a junior and also placed in the top eight in the javelin at state.
Â
"We are super excited to be adding Faith to the Lady Hornet Roster for the next three years. Â Faith is someone we recruited very hard out of High School and so to have a chance to recruit her again and this time sign her we just feel very fortunate right now," said Wynn. "She is not only a very gifted basketball player but she is also an exceptional person. Â We are looking forward to her having an immediate impact on our team and I know our fans will enjoy getting to know her and watch her play."
Â
The Lady Hornets return three starters from last year's team that went 15-14. It was the 26th consecutive winning season for Emporia State, the longest active streak among women's basketball programs in the MIAA.
