November 25, 2022-Emporia State jumped out to a 21-4 lead and cruised to a 65-45 win at CSU-Pueblo on Friday night in Pueblo, Colo.

The scoring was going slow in the early going as the teams were tied at 2-2 three and a half minutes into the game.
Tre'Zure Jobe hit a three-pointer with 6:31 left to start a personal 7-0 run as she had a steal and layup with 4:51 left to give Emporia State a 9-2 lead. Alice Stevenson broke the run with 4:25 left but the Lady Hornets would score the next 12 points to take control of the game.

The Thunderwolves would go 6:28 without scoring before Landri Hudson hit two free throws with 8:23 left in the second quarter. The Lady Hornets would hold CSUP 9:13 without a field goal as they went up 25-6 before Tomia Johnson scored with 5:12 left in the first half.

Emporia State took a 28-13 lead into the half and Hudson scored the first five points of the third quarter to pull the Thunderwolves within ten points with 8:51 left in the period.Â
Faith Paramore hit a three pointer to ignite an 8-0 run with
Victoria Price hitting two free throws to give the Lady Hornets a 36-18 lead with 6:42 left in the quarter.

CSU-Pueblo would close to within 12 points twice more in the quarter but Emporia State answered each time, first with a Jobe layup with 1:06 left and again with 40 seconds left on a Price layup with 40 seconds left. A put back by
Katie Horyna gave the Lady Hornets a 50-34 lead headed into the fourth quarter.

Johnson hit a three-pointer to pull the Thunderwolves within 50-37 a minute into the fourth quarter but Paramore converted an old fashioned three-point play to answer and start a 9-0 run. Jobe hit back to back three-pointers to give the Lady Hornets a 59-37 lead with 4:10 left in the game. The lead would reach 25 points on an
Elizabeth Milligan fast break layup with 1:23 remaining.

Tre'Zure Jobe had 18 points and was joined in double figures by
Faith Paramore with ten points.Â
Victoria Price and
Ehlaina Hartman each scored nine points with Hartman getting credited with four steals.
Katie Horyna had seven points and a team high seven rebounds.
