September 5, 2021-Emporia State gave up a goal just over a minute into the match but scored four second half goals to post a 5-2 win over Concordia-St. Paul on Sunday in St. Joseph, Mo.

Hannah Woolery assist. CSP took a 2-1 lead into the half with an unassisted goal from Abby Kloiber with just 38 seconds left in the period.

The Bear's Mackenzie Leibiger received a red card 2:24 into the second half and
Mackenzie Dimarco scored the equalizer on a penalty kick to make it 2-2. Â Kyliegh Roe gave Emporia State their first lead in the 66th minute on a goal off a
Joanie Westcoat assist. The Hornets put the game away with goals from Dimarco in the 82nd minute and Westcoat in the 84th minute for the final 5-2 win.

For the match Emporia State outshot Concordia-St.Paul 17-10 with a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks. In the second half the Hornets had a 10-4 in shots.

Emporia State will head to Colorado next weekend for a pair of matches. The Hornets will play at CSU-Pueblo on Friday at 8:00 pm (CT) in Pueblo, Colo.
