BACK ON THE ROAD
After a three match home stand, sixth ranked Emporia State heads back on the road this weekend for a pair of matches. The Hornets play at Missouri Western on Friday and at Northwest Missouri on Sunday.
LAST TIME OUT
In a pair of matches at home on the ESU pitch, the Hornets took down Neb.-Kearney 5-1 in their MIAA tune-up before enacting revenge on Fort Hays State with a 1-0 victory.
Mackenzie Dimarco provide the lone goal early in the first half with a solo effort where she took the ball at midfield and raced through the Tiger defense before slotting the ball away into the bottom corner.
THE COACHES
Bryan Sailer is 84-72-25 in his tenth year at Emporia State and is the winningest coach in program history and seventh winningest coach in MIAA history. He has a career record of 143-95-27 that includes coaching four years at the community college level. He has led the Hornets to six straight .500 or better regular seasons, four straight MIAA Tournaments and their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance. He is 4-6-0 against Missouri Western and is 6-5-0 against Northwest Missouri.
Damian Macias is in his second season and is 4-2-2 at Missouri Western. His first season was canceled due to COVID-19. This will be his first meeting with the Hornets.
Marc Gordon is 12-28-4 in his fourth season at Northwest Missouri. He is 0-3-0 against Emporia State.
SCOUTING THE HORNETS
Emporia State is 7-0-1 on the season and ranked #6 in the nation. They are leading the MIAA in scoring and rank second in defense.
Mackenzie Dimarco leads the MIAA in both points and goals.

Joanie Westcoat to give Emporia State the 3-2 victory.
