March 21, 2021-The Emporia State men's and women's tennis teams ran their combined record to 9-0 with a pair of 6-1 wins against Doane University on Sunday in Crete, Neb.

The Hornet men won all three doubles matches and took five of six singles matches. The match of the day may have been
Andy Graf's win at #3 singles. He dropped the first set to Esteban Gutierrez 10-8 in a tie breaked and then came back to win the second set tie breaker 7-3 before finishing the match with a 10-3 in the third set tiebreaker.

The Emporia State women also got off to a good start, dropping only one game during doubles. The Hornets had straight set wins at #1, #2 and #3 singles while going to a third set in #4, #5, and #6 singles and coming away with wins at 4 and 5.

The Hornets will wrap up their tour of Nebraska on Monday when they play at Midland University in Fremont, Neb. First serve is set for 10:00 a.m.
