December 11, 2021-Emporia State allowed Central Oklahoma to shoot 63% from the field in the second half to turn a nine point game into a 91-67 loss in Edmond, Okla. on Saturday.

The Hornets jumped out to a 10-4 lead to start the game and led 15-9 with 13:56 left in the first half. The Bronchos then went on a 9-0 run to take an 18-15 lead with 12:02 remaining.
Tray Buchanan and
Jumah'Ri Turner combined on a 5-0 mini run to give Emporia State a 20-18 lead headed into the under ten media timeout. UCO led 36-28 with 1:19 left in the half before
Adam Nance hit a three-pointer to cut it to five with 1:09 left. Callen Hayden scored four points in the final 41 seconds to give UCO a 40-31 lead at the break.

An Isaiah Wade hoop and harm followed by a three pointer from Jaden Wells extended the Broncho run to 10-0 as Emporia State called a timeout just 45 seconds into the second half. Â
Mayuom Buom scored inside with 17:37 left to make it 48-35 before UCO went on another 10-0 run to take a 58-35 lead with 14:43 left. The deficit would reach 30 points before settling on the 91-67 final.

Tray Buchanan, the leading scorer in the nation, had a game high 29 points but was the only Hornet in double figures.Â
Jumah'Ri Turner had nine and
PJ Johnson added eight points.Â

The Hornets will return to White Auditoriium for their final two games before the break starting with Northeastern State on December 18. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
