EMPORIA STATE WOMEN'S TENNIS MOVES TO 3-1 IN MIAA PLAY WITH WIN AT MISSOURI WESTERN

March 22, 2019-The Emporia State women improved to 3-1 in the MIAA with a 5-2 victory at Missouri Western on Friday afternoon in St. Joseph, Mo.
 
Jessica Purdy and Cyrielle won 6-2 at #1 doubles and Silvana Caceres and Camila Ramos took a 6-3 win at #3 doubles to get the Hornets off to a 1-0 start headed into singles.
 
The Hornets would win four of the six singles matches to take the dual victory.  Purdy won 6-1, 6-0 at #2 singles while Viktoria Mackova won 6-1, 6-2 at #3 singles. Peyroche picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at #4 singles and Karen Santiago won 6-1, 6-0 to round out the scoring.
 
Emporia State is set to play host to Augustana (SD) on Sunday, March 24 at the Milton Courts in the Kossover Tennis Complex.
