March 30, 2018- Emporia State women's tennis fell on Friday 9-0 to #6 Central Oklahoma.
The Hornets started started out down 1-0 in doubles playing with four players. Kaley Clark and Sarah Durham fell 8-5 to Kirtana Bhat and Laetitia Charbonnet in #1 doubles while Silvana Caceres and Shannen Meyer fell 8-0 to Alli Hodges and Paola Landin in #2 doubles.
In singles play, Kaley Clark fell 6-1, 6-2 to Alli Hodges in #1 singles. In #2 singles Sarah Durham fell 6-4, 6-4 to Laetitia Charbonnet while Silvana Caceres fell 6-1, 6-2 to Sarah Van Eeckhoudt in #3 singles. Shannen Meyer fell 6-2, 6-0 to Alix Williams in #4 singles and the Hornets were forced to forfeit #5 and 6 singles.
The Hornets will be back in action Saturday as they take on #5 Northeastern State in Talequah, Oklahoma.
