March 21, 2018-The Emporia State men and women were swept by Cameron on Wednesday afternoon at the EHS Tennis Courts. The men fell 6-3 while the women dropped an -1 decision.
Oliver Dixon and Anton Levanovich picked up a 9-8 (2) win at #1 doubles for the Hornet men who trailed 2-1 going to singles play. Levanovich would win 6-4, 6-1 at #5 singles to pull the Hornets within 4-2 before the Aggies clinched the match. Lukas Winkler picked up the other win for Emporia State 5-7, 6-3, 10-5 at #6 singles in the final match of the day.
Kaley Clark and Sarah Durham got the only win on the day for the Hornet women as they picked up an 8-3 win at #1 doubles.
Emporia State is back in MIAA action on Friday when they welcome Lindenwood to Emporia for both men's and women's duals. Both duals are set to begin at 2:00 p.m. on the EHS Courts.
