September 29, 2017- Emporia State volleyball fell in straight sets to Lindenwood on Friday. The Hornets fall to 9-7 on the season, 2-2 in the MIAA.
Lindenwood controlled set one finishing with a score of 25-20. In set two the Hornets battled to a 23-19 lead which the Lions were able to overcome after a timeout and take the set 26-24. The third set was all Lions starting with a 6-0 run to start the set and finishing 25-10. The Hornets were led by Yuchen Du with 9 kills followed by Jamie Hauptman with 8 and Tatum Graves with 6. Emma Dixon led the Hornets with 13 assists while Du added 12. Allie Maloney was the only Hornet to reach double digits with 12 digs.
The Hornets are back in action Saturday, September 30 as the play host to #18 Central Missouri in William L. White Auditorium.
