December 16, 2017- Emporia State women's basketball defeated Lincoln 72-50 on Saturday. The Lady Hornets remain undefeated in conference play with the win on the road.

The teams had a slow start with the score at the first media timeout being 11-6 in favor of the Lady Hornets. At the end of the quarter the Lady Hornets would take a 15-10 lead. The action picked up in the second quarter for the Lady Hornets as they added 20 points to extend their lead to 35-19 going into the half. The Lady Hornets continued to keep the pressure on the Blue Tigers in the third quarter, extending their lead to 51-32 at the end of three. In the fourth quarter the Lady Hornets held off a Blue Tiger run to finish the game with a 72-50 win.

The Lady Hornets outrebounded the Blue Tigers 51-31 with 19 offensive and 32 defensive boards. Emporia State shot 39% from the field in the game, 20% from beyond the arc and 75% from the free throw line.

The Lady Hornets were led by Emily Miller with 10 points followed by Tatum Graves, Jessica Wayne and Tyra Jones with nine each. Jones led the Lady Hornets with nine rebounds followed by Morgan Laudan with seven and Wayne and Miller with six each.

The Lady Hornets will be back in action on Monday December 18 as they travel to St. Charles, MO. to face Lindenwood.
