February 6, 2016-Terrence Moore had 17 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and four steals to lead Emporia State to a 78-66 win over Pittsburg State on Saturday night in White Auditorium.
BIG RUNS
The Hornets trailed 29 22 with 4:54 left when they went on a 14-2 run to take the lead for good. Jevon Taylor started the run with a three pointer and Terrence Moore added six points during the run. Emporia State would never trail after that however the Gorillas would tie the score at 38-38 with 18:10 remaining in the game. The Hornets then went on an 11-0 run to take a 49-38 lead with 14:14 left on a three-pointer by Taylor. The lead would eventually reach 21 when Brandon Hall hit a three-pointer with 8:02 left. Â

Emporia State shot 56.1% from the field and had 27 assists on 32 made baskets. Terrence Moore led the Hornets with 17 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and four steals. He was joined in double figures by Charles McKinney with 12 points on six of seven shooting including two dunks, Jevon Taylor with 11 points and Joshua Oswald with ten points. Micah Swank added eight points, eight rebounds and six assists.
