March 7, 2015-Kaitlyn Caston and Eryn Stockman allowed just one hit in 12.0 innings while Taylor Zordel and Stephanie Goodwin combined for 11 RBI as #23 Emporia State swept Lincoln 8-0 and 7-0 on Saturday at the Trusler Sports Complex.
Caston tossed a no-hitter in the matinee, retiring the final 15 batters she faced. Zordel was three for four with three runs scored and two RBI while Goodwin went three for four with three RBI.
Stockman extended the no hit string to 16.1 innings before giving up a one out single in the seventh inning of game two. Zordel was two for three with a pair of triples and three RBI while Goodwin had a two run homer and a sac fly for three RBI.
The Hornets are back in action on Sunday against Lindenwood at the Trusler Sports Complex.

The Hornet pitching staff had a string of 16.1 no hit innings dating back to the third inning of the St. Edward's game on Feb. 27 in Austin, Texas.
