October 2, 2015-Emporia State had a season high .389 hitting percentage in a 3-0 sweep of Missouri Southern on Friday night in Joplin, Mo. to begin a five match road trip.

The Hornets had nine different players with at least one kill as Emporia State dished 45 assists in the three set match. Sydney Hartman had 22 and Kimberly Bell 21 of the assists in the Hornets two setter system.
PUT IT DOWN
Shayla Cotman had a match high 12 kills on .500 hitting and added four digs and a block assist. Josie Williams hit .714 getting ten kills on just 14 attempts with no errors. Danika Burton chipped in eight kills on .615 hitting for the Hornets.

Emporia State will travel to Bolivar, Mo. on Saturday for a 3:00 p.m. match against Southwest Baptist.
