September 26, 2014- Emporia State lost 2-1 against Central Missouri. 

Shannon Thomas scored the first goal of the game on a free kick for ESU in the 42nd minute and the Hornets held the lead 1-0 into halftime. in the 57th minute Nicole Pond scored the equalizer for UCM and the Jennies took the lead in the 67th minute on a goal from Hannah Pyle that was assisted by Baylie Edwards.

The Hornets were out shot by the Jennies 21-5. Yadira Rivera recorded 6 saves on the evening. ESU had 13 fouls while UCM had 4.

Emopria State Hornets are back in action Sunday, September 28th, 2014 against Lindenwood at EHS Pitch.
