The Hornets pick up first MIAA win of the season with 1-0 victory over Northeastern

Friday, October 3, 2014-  Emporia State soccer recorded its first MIAA victory of the season against Northeastern State by a score of 1-0. 

Amelie Huen scored the lone goal of the night in the 10th minute for Emporia State. Yadira Rivera recorded her third shut out of the season.

The Hornets took ten total shots with five of them on goal. The RiverHawks attempted twelve shots and three of them ended up on goal. Rivera totaled three saves in the victory for Emporia State and Jordan Woodruff recorded four saves for Northeastern State. 

Emporia State soccer is back in action Sunday, October 5 against Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Okla. at 1 p.m.
