Biography
2016 - Rivera will be the Hornets' starting goalkeeper for her senior season at Emporia State.
2015 - Starting in 16 games for Emporia State, Rivera had 80 saves and five shut outs, making her career total 21 shut outs. Missing two matches, Rivera was still third in the MIAA in total saves on the season. She was named to MIAA Honorable Mention for 2015.
2014 - Rivera was named First-Team All-MIAA and was named Co-Goalkeeper of the Year, after earning Second-Team honors last season. She posted seven shutouts on the season, bringing her career total to 16 in just two seasons. Rivera recorded a total of 106 saves in the regular season and had a 0.99 goals against average on the season.Â
2013- Yadira Rivera earned Second-Team All-MIAA status. Rivera set an Emporia State record with nine shutouts this season, eclipsing Erin Allen's previous mark of seven set in 2004. She was second in the league in shutouts and saves percentage and ranked third in total saves.
High School - Rivera is a graduate of Emporia high school.
